Familiarity with new challenges in substance addiction and emerging addictions
A seminar titled "Familiarization with New Challenges in Substance Addiction and Emerging Addictions" will be held on December 8 at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences. Organized by Substance Abuse and Dependenc Research Center, this one-day event aims to explore recent advancements in both chemical and behavioral addictions, specifically targeting healthcare professionals, including doctors, psychiatrists, and psychologists.
Dr. Kamyar Ghani, the executive secretary of the seminar, emphasized that key topics will include understanding the neurological foundations of various addictions, identifying new addictive substances, exploring behavioral addictions, discussing common diagnostic methods, presenting treatment strategies, and investigating family interventions.
The scientific secretary for the event will be Dr. Ghancheh Raheb. Notable speakers include Dr. Mohammad Hasan Farahani, Dr. Omid Masah Chulabi, Dr. Robert Farnam, Dr. Marzieh Hamzeh Zadeh Qaleh Joqi, Dr. Kamyar Ghani, and Dr. Ramin Radfar.
