Publication of the Book "Passages from the Treasures of the Health Care Network of the Islamic Republic of Iran" by the Iranian Academy of Medical Sciences
This book is compiled under the supervision of Dr. Seyed Alireza Marandi, President of Iran Academy of Medical Sciences and by Dr. Hossein Malek Afzali, Distinguished Professor of the Faculty of Health at the University of Tehran and Associate Member of the Academy, and Dr. Payam Roshanfekr, faculty member at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, Head of the Iranian Health and Medicine of the Sociol
Dr. Payam Roshanfekr noted that “This book is the result of three years of research by collecting documents approved by national and international institutions of successful health programs, generally through interviews with the presenters of these programs which have been prepared and compiled.
According to Dr. Roshanfekr, The book deals with the formation, challenges, and how to advance and implement the outstanding achievements of the Iranian health care system including interconnection programs, Family planning programs, EPI programs (Essential Programs on Immunization), Breastfeeding programs, and complementary feeding program, disease control program, Polio eradication program (in two parts).
"Generic plan and supply of essential medicines, mental health plan (program), environmental health plan, school health plan, occupational health plan, monitoring and evaluation in the national health network, the role of international organizations in quantitative and qualitative network development, integration of education and research in health services, a summary of welfare education programs from the beginning until now, practical points in setting up the city health care network" is another part of this book that Dr. Roshanfekr mentioned.
