Dr. Maryam Farzad, a faculty member at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences (USWR), stated in an interview with the university's news portal that the Ministry of Health has approved the first Hand Rehabilitation Course for Occupational Therapists and will be conducted in collaboration with USWR and the Iranian Society of Hand Surgeons.

According to the university's news reporter, Dr. Seyed Ali Hosseini, The Chancellor of the USWR, congratulated students on Student Day and emphasized the significance of this occasion. He noted that Student Day, which commemorates December 7, 1953, symbolizes the courage and resilience of students who sacrificed their lives for freedom and justice. This event marks a pivotal moment in the student movement in Iran, and its effects are still felt today.

On International Volunteer Day, a student team from the Orthotics and Prosthetics department at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences designed orthoses using modern technologies, such as 3D printing. These orthoses not only prevent deformities and muscle shortening in infants but also adapt to their growth rates.
